Belize 
Your trip leader is: Jenn
This year the trip to Costa Rica will be planned by Jenn Smith and will be coordinated with ProBelize. Students will have the opportunity to provide healthcare throughout the country. Last year students went to different locations everyday and provided individuals in the villages. This included setting up at a Market in Belmopan and a school in Armenia. Students stayed with host families in the city of San Ignacio in groups of 2 or 3.
There will also be time set aside at the end to go sightseeing and experience what Belize has to offer.
Rough itinerary of clinic days:
- Set up clinics with ProBelize throughout the Country. Usually anywhere from 30 min to 1 hour and 30 mins from San Igancio. Usually leave around 9 am.
- Work in groups of 2-3 to interview patients, check blood pressure and glucose, and assess any concerns from the patients
- Sex education and condom distribution
Rough itinerary of sightseeing days:
- Couple days in Caye Caulker
- Visit to ruins around San Igancio
- Base Jumping and viewing a waterfall
