Costa Rica ‘09-’10
Your trip leader is: Navneet
(it’s like “teen van” backwards)

This year the trip to Costa Rica will be planned by Navneet Mander and will be coordinated with the Costa Rican Humanitarian Foundation. Students will have the opportunity to provide healthcare at two local refugee clinics, gain experience giving sports physicals to local soccer teams, practice their skills with pediatric patients at the local schools, and give health education and other services to the local people.
There will also be time set aside at the end to go sightseeing and experience what Costa Rica has to offer. During the clinic days students will be staying in Santa Ana in homestays with families.
Navneet hopes to make this an 11 day trip with 7 days in the clinic and 4 days to travel. The cost for an 11 day trip will be approximately $1100 (including airfare), but plans are in the works to make it cheaper. Any questions can be directed to Navneet at nmander@med.wayne.edu.
